Dana Bagshaw, who is the author of the Oklahoma Centennial Book "Mama Grace," will be in Ponca City next weekend to for a program and booksigning.

Bagshaw is to be at a booksigning at Brace Books on Monday, June 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The book "Mama Grace" is based on an original manuscript by the author's grandmother, Letha Crossman.

This is a story of her family homesteading in Oklahoma in the early 1900s.

The book has been selected as an official project of the Oklahoma Centennial Commission and includes photos of the period.

Bagshaw plans to follow this book with its sequel, "Running From Grace," drawn from the memoirs of Letha's younger brother, Victor.

In addition to the centennial book, Bagshaw has written a major dramatic work "Cell Talk," which explores the lives and thought of two medieval times, icons, Julian of Norwich and Margery Kempe. "Cell Talk's" sixth production went on tour from the Cameo Theatre Company based in Cambridge.
